Absolutely stunning and lovely place. It’s just a short drive to Castle Combe but even the place itself was good. We spent more time at the place than Castle Combe itself. The views are spectacular. The road to the cottage was a little tight, but it was worth the drive. We’ll be returning! Thanks Claire for the warm hospitality.

Robin's Nest is such a lovely retreat. Very comfortable accommodation in a wonderful location. We did all 3 of the suggested walks that start right outside the gate and wouldn't have needed to use our car apart from the short journey to Lacock.

Listing was exactly as advertised. It's a beautiful place to visit in the Cotswold. You wake up to bird's chirping and the unit is well heated. Claire was a pleasure (but only introduced herself and made this a completely independent stay). You do need to travel down a one lane road to get here but that was ok for me as I was used to that. Accommodation was worth the drive.

My partner and I stayed here for a long weekend, and it was honestly the best AirBnB location and experience that I have had! Claire and Andy were incredible hosts who went out of their way to accommodate us and were extremely helpful with local recommendations. They were super communicative and quick to respond, making sure that we had everything we needed upon arrival. They even stocked the fridge for us with a few groceries that we had requested beforehand. Robin's Nest itself was amazing. Sitting tucked away in a quaint and charming hamlet, it served as the perfect getaway from London. Inside the home, it was very clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. All the appliances worked and were quite modern. There is a direct walk to Castle Combe that cuts through a lush and peaceful forest, which makes it a fantastic hidden gem if you're looking to be close to local attractions but want to escape the crowds. Honestly, Robin's Nest is quite simply one of the best places you'll have the chance to stay away from home. Do yourself a favor and book a spot here ASAP!

We had a fantastic stay at Robin's nest. Perfectly situated on stunning walking routes and nearby to some lovely villages, we couldn't have asked for a tidier, more cosy retreat. Communication with Claire was great from start to finish which was reassuring. We couldn't fault a thing. Can't wait to visit again.

Claire came back to my many questions both before booking and once staying there, within minutes each time. She offered great recommendations for walks and places to eat and drink.       Robin’s Nest has been such a pleasant stay. We loved every second of this cosy little hideaway. And so close to Bath too!!! Claire was super attentive and welcoming. And had great knowledge of the perfect things to do around Chippenham and it’s surrounding areas! The Nest is in such a great location. We walked to Castle Combe one day which took around 25mins and it was so beautiful!! But if you do decide to walk back when it gets dark, then we highly recommend you bring a torch as it is literally pitch black (but still exciting!) we also managed to do a day trip in Bath which is only 30mins away by car, couldn’t believe it! The Nest is also great to just chill in. We cooked, watched tv and generally just lounged!! Just come and stay!!!!

We wanted to have the balance between a romantic countryside getaway and within driving distance to explore Bath..and Robins nest truly did not disappoint!

The cottage itself is beautiful, with warm homely touch’s, and everything you need…even bubbles and chocolates waiting for us on arrival! The recommendations in the guidebook for local walks and country pubs were as fabulous as our stay.

The communication from the host was great too, the perfect balance between providing enough information and letting you really enjoy your time and space.

Thoroughly look forward to returning and cannot recommend enough.
Thank you for a beautiful stay x

You will find this gem of a place even better than described. The walks are literally right on the doorstep and in any direction there’s either a footpath, or quiet country lane which leads to a pub after half an hour or so; by car around 5 to 10 minutes drive.
The host has thought of everything but remember to bring supper and breakfast with you for the first evening and breakfast although there is something to keep you going first thing! However Claire will happily get you a few stores.

Robin's Nest is a wonderful little haven that is perfect for a romantic getaway. When we arrived we were amazed by the peace and tranquillity of the place, and once we stepped foot inside we just couldn't believe how stylish and cosy it was. The house is clean and well-furnished, and everything you might need for a relaxing break is provided: a comfy double bed, a gorgeous free-standing bath plus a wet room with tropical shower downstairs. There is also a smart TV with Netflix if and when you decide to stay in for a chilled movie night.

There are quite a few pubs within walking distance, although we ended up driving for our evening meals as the footpaths were very hard to navigate in pitch black, even with our phone torches on. Your best bet for good food and good service is The White Hart in Ford, just 5 minute drive/20 minute walk away.

Claire is an amazing host and provided us with really clear communications throughout our stay. When we arrived we were delighted to be welcomed with a bottle of bubbly in the fridge, and Claire was always on hand if we needed her. She struck the perfect balance of being super-helpful while not at all being overbearing.

Also, one final note to say Robin's Nest will forever hold a special place in our heart as I proposed to my now fiancée here. As I mentioned above, it is the perfect romantic getaway and we look forward to returning again one day soon!

Where to start.. it’s a home from home ❤️

From the moment we arrived, we were in awe and fell in love with this little abode. Access to the property was easy and upon arrival we were greeted with peace and quiet. The nest is secluded and a sanctuary of peace for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of day to day life. Claire popped round once we’d settled in to say hello and was super friendly and extremely helpful, always on hand if you needed anything by (Hidden by Airbnb) , but ultimately left us to enjoy her property. The nest is spacious and full of creature comforts, all that you need to feel right at home. Location wise it is off the beaten track but within walking distance of Ford and Castle Combe, both of which we visited during our walks to the local pub/restaurant. Advise to take a torch if you plan an evening mooch. Both White Hart’s are well recommended if your looking for some good grub. Check in and Check out was extremely easy and we will definitely return at a later date thank you very much for such a pleasant stay x

We had a wonderful relaxing time at Robins nest, the place is beautiful spotless and after staying in quite a few Airbnb’s I’d say Robins nest is definitely on the luxurious side of properties we have stayed in which makes it quite good value for money, key word here is relaxing, it’s very tranquil and ideal if your seeking a bit of solitude but with the option right there if you fancy some social interactions there are pubs cafes within walking distance and the walks to and from these places are beautiful and easy to navigate, you can tell from staying in the place a lot of time and effort has been put into Robins nest which is great to see and makes you feel welcome and appreciated as a guest, it’s places like this why we use Airbnb so much, so what are you waiting for book up you won’t regret it!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Robins nest! It’s such a beautiful space in a wonderful setting! It was just what we needed, quiet and in the middle of nowhere. We felt very rested and relaxed when we left.

We stayed for 3 nights. We had a day in Bath, which we parked at the Lansdown park and ride (20 min drive from Robins nest). Then we had a day which we walked to Castle Combe, spent a couple of hours there having lunch and walking around, then came back to the nest to relax. I can recommend the rolltop bath for an afternoon soak!

We went to the White Hart in Ford for an evening meal on our second night and it was absolutely fantastic, we definitely recommend a visit! Keeping with that theme we also had lunch at the White Hart in Castle Combe during our visit there, that was nice too.

Claire was such a fantastic host, the communication was fantastic from booking, to a few days before our stay started, on the day of our stay and during. She could not do enough for us, she was an absolutely wonderful host. We would love to come back one day in the future.

We spent one week at Claire’s lovely property and we could have stayed longer, it went so fast.

The property allows for a good base to explore the area, but also a relaxing spacious place, that we stayed in one whole day and did nothing. Neither of us have had any time off work for 10 months and we needed it.

There are so many places to visit in the surrounding area, so many hidden gems to explore, we visited towns, villages, found some lovely restaurants and friendly people everywhere. Recommend the Castle Coombe and Nettleton Mill Circular walk right from the front door. You can easily get to many of the listed usual Cotswolds recommended sights and easy access to Bath. We also recommend Lacock and Cirencester and you drive through the most picturesque areas.

It had everything we needed, clean, excellent shower pressure, comfortable bed, good tv during the football and excellent wifi as I needed to have a 2 hour zoom work meeting. We cooked some meals and went out to eat, the kitchen was well stocked with utensils. There’s supermarkets 10 minutes drive away, so no need to stock up too much. Claire’s suggested the Allington Farm shop and it did the most amazing breakfast, shame we only visited it in our last day.

Totally silent, no traffic noise or street lights at night, really relaxing stay, best sleep I’ve had in a while.

Castle Combe is a short walk away and IMO the most stunning of all areas we visited.

I would recommend this place to stay, it was just what we needed.

Wow, what a beautiful location and property! The hosts were excellent communicators and made us feel at home, from the bubbly to welcome us in to the pair of “hotel” slippers that awaited us on entry to the bedroom. Plan on bringing plenty of books because the quaint and beautiful surroundings provide the perfect environment for jumping into your favorite novel. Also plan on bringing your walking shoes because there are multiple public footpaths nearby leading to idyllic villages .
My wife and I, along with our 2 year old, enjoyed 5 days here. If you’re bringing a child just know you can have enough space; although, you may need to get a little creative for sleeping arrangements if you require a pack-n-play. The bedroom is very large though so you’ll have plenty of space to work with. Speaking of children, the host graciously purchased a high chair to accommodate our visit, after finding out we were bringing our toddler and the property wasn’t equipped with one already. I can’t say enough good things about our experience. We can’t wait to return .

Beautiful secluded hideaway with everything you need. Claire was a perfect host. I could not recommend a stay here more.
